DDR2 (Double Data Rate 2) SDRAM is the newest generation of memory modules, which are characterised by higher speeds (up to 1066Mhz), higher date band width (up to 10.6GB/sec for Dual-Channel) and lower flow usage (1.8 volts in surgical mode). DDR2 memory chips also support on-die termination (ODT), which will allow certain motherboard ODT components to be integrated into the memory.
